I started ballet when I was 11 and instantly fell in love and have never stopped dancing since then. Over the next couple of years I found another love, teaching. At the age of 14 I beggan to help teach at the dance studio I was taking from and at the age of 17 I began teaching classes at other studios. As a teacher I quickly learned how hard it is to find cute and affordable tutus. One christmas, at the studio I was teaching at, we were putting on a performace of the nutcracker and we could not find afrodable tutus for some of our classes. So we decided to try and make our own tutus. The tutus turned out to be adorablea and I descovered my third love! Since then I decided to try an make these afordable tutus available to everyone! I started blogging my tutus in May of 2010 and started my etsy store a month later! I am always searching around looking for new ideas and designs for my tutus. I still teach and dance so you know that all La Petite Ballerina tutus are instyle and dancer apporved!
